It depends on whether or not the chloride is low. If the chloride is low, replacing the chloride will help to correct the alkalosis. But, if the chloride is not low, then it really won’t make any difference. If the alkalosis is mild, it may not need to be treated. It really won’t affect stomach acid. Best of luck to you!
