Can throwing up too much in short time cause acid-base disorders?alkalosis?high blood ph.7.49 low anion gap 18.4 ..which if not detected and treated early can make you feel imbalanced &dehydrated..which can also increase uric acid levels?

If you vomit heavily in a short time, you may develop metabolic alkalosis and volume contraction or dehydrated (hypochloremic metabolic alkalosis). If the dehydration is severely enough, renal function may be acutely impaired then both serum creatinine and uric acid can be higher.

Yes throwing up throws up acid and you can get alkalotic. Many things can lead to high Uric acid: genes, dehydration, diuretics, HBP to mention a few. Recommend you invest the $ to get 1 month access to uptodate.com. This will help with all aspects of the questions you are asking us. Acid base problems are one of the most difficult things most medical students struggle with.
