A biopsy of the skin on my toe found acral skin with vascular ectasias. my doctors dont seem familiar with it. what does this mean? thank you?

Why did you get a biopsy in the first place? What is your clinical history? Your concern? Why not talk to your docs or get paid televisit?

Acral designates the location, while ectasia means dilation of vessels, most commonly given location venous due to venous insufficiency and among others. All above results have to be interpreted in clinical context and with the understanding that any biopsy can miss the lesion they were intended for.

There is no cancer or any other abnormality of significance. It is a descriptive report because the tissue did not reveal anything diagnostic.
