Lower facelift/necklift will swelling bruising be easier to conceal than a full facelift? want to return to work in 2 weeks without drawing attention?

Maybe: Bruising after a facelift is seldom visible after a week and by two weeks you will in all probability be fine. The eye area is the area of the most visible bruising so if you aren't having your eyes done then you should do quite fine going back to work then. A little concealer if necessary should come in handy.

Bruising is common: Bruising and swelling can occur with any type of facelift. Some facelift procedures are less invasive and could have minimal bruising and swelling but the result may not be optimal. Certain aging changes may require a more aggressive facelift procedure. A facelift that makes a significant difference in your appearance may draw attention whether you have bruising or not.

Not really: Have the procedure which maximally addresses your aesthetic concerns. The post-op recovery of these choices isn't that much different. You should be presentable with makeup in 2 weeks from both. Have the surgery that maximally enhances your appearance.

Similar bruising: Hello! you will likely have some swelling and possibly bruising after any type of facelift so do the procedure you and your surgeon feel is best for results. Consider arnica and bromelain to help with bruising and swelling and get your hair cut and colored just prior to your procedure- your co-workers will focus on your hairstyle, not your face!

Unpredictable bruise: It is difficult to predict the extent of bruising after a facelift. All individuals will bruise differently. Plan on not being presentable for two weeks and requiring cover up after that. A good cover up is dermablend that you can get from macys.

Give yourself: Enough time to heal. Typically, i recommend 3 weeks "out of the public eye" after a facelift. 2 weeks is probably not enough.

It's technique: Typically less surgery is less downtime but clean technique with your avoidance of blood thinners and straining postop is key. Also management of your health especially blood pressure will expedite healing. I feel my more extensive facelifts look socially presentable (normal) by 10-14 days. www.asc-psd.com.

Facelift Heal Time: In general the less invasive a procedure the less recovery time required including bruising. Therefore a litelift, mini-lift, lower facelift , etc, in general will have less swelling and bruising than a traditional full facelift. 2 weeks in general would be enough recovery time for most undergoing a lower facelift.

Plan for Success: Yes, but if you decide to do a full facelift (neck, eyes, and brow). Plan for Success Avoid aspirin, Vit E, Advil, (ibuprofen)fish oil, etc, for two weeks before surgery. Have a sitter for the first 48hr to apply ice. Consider antibruising herbal products such as bromelain and arnika Work with an aesthetician and get lymphatic drainage beginning after 48 hrs.

Other Options: Rather than having a neck lift, consider a Lifestyle Lift or a MACS lift. Both of these procedures are designed to be able to get you back to work in 1-2 weeks and will give you results equal to a traditional facelift.

Facelift swelling: Bruising and swelling at a possibility after any surgery. A lower facelift typically involves less dissection than a full facelift and therefore, there should be less bruising and swelling. Preparing for surgery by being any aspirin NSAIDs and herbals will help prevent bleeding. Follow your surgeon's instructions for your best results.

Very possible : with a lower facelift it is possible that you will have little to no bruising. Slight swelling may still be present. On rare occasions, more bruising can occur but follow you surgeons instructions and ensure good control of your blood pressure.

Not necessarily: Unfortunately different ways of naming a facelift can make it confusing. A standard facelift as well as a lower facelift will both result in swelling and bruising, but there are variations such as decreased amounts of tissue dissection that can decrease the amount of bruising/swelling. This is an excellent questions to ask your plastic surgeon prior to your procedure. 2 weeks should be resonable.
