A member asked:

My allergies always get well controlled with oral antihisthamines. but if i use nasal steroid sprays, there is not even 1% improvement. please explain me technical reason why i do not respond to it?i dont have nasal polyps but dns is present?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nasal steroids are chronic medications and won't be terribly effective for acute allergic exposure. For this type of exposure, the antihistamines are far more appropriate.
