Itching of the urethra rarely the only symptom of either CPPS or urethritis, especially CPPS with pain as the main symptom. If you have urethral discharge or burning urination, the infectious etiology needs to be ruled out. If you have isolated itching, you only watch that symptom for now.

yes it can. if you are really worried have your Urologist do the tests.
