Sleeping by itself may or may not worsen thoracic outlet syndrome, it is the prolonged position that, if muscles relax, may worsen compression by adding pressure and worsen baseline symptoms.

Yes, sleeping on the affected side may exaggerate symptoms when you raise your arm over your head during sleep. Good luck
