I : I recommend that you see a orthopedic sports medicine physician. I am very concerned about your symptoms. I don't believe that as motivated as you are that the shoulder is normal. It sounds like you have some form of rotator cuff tear , or a torn labrum (cartilage). Often this requires surgery. Putting your arm in a sling will probably be a bad thing as you will lose mobility in your shoulder. See the physician soon, as your season is truly at risk. Best wishes.

You : You should not return to sports until you get x-rays of both shoulders for comparison. You are not specific regarding your age and what is your position. I presume you are a pitcher as this kind of problem is very common. The most likely reason for your problem is poor throwing technique. Therapy and rehab do nothing if your technique doesn't improve. See an orthopedic sports doctor asap!
