Is iv sedation at oral surgeon safe for someone with mild hypothyroidism, elhers danlos, and acid reflux? i had similar sedation for my endoscopy few years ago and it went fine. i know theres risk but wondered about my conditions with it. thanks?

I feel it's important to have a pre oral surgery consultation and an OK from your attending physician before having IV sedation and oral surgery. That would include basic lab work & an EKG. That has been my policy and that of my colleagues for many years.. It helps ensure the best care for our patients.
