Anxiety symptoms: Anxiety can cause many things, including feeling like your throat is closing. I suspect that this is what you are feeling. See your doctor to be evaluated. Feel better!

Anxiety: Anxiety alone doesn't usually cause the tongue to swell. Hypothyroidism can. Acid reflux is probably the most likely factor in your case, since you describe it as "awful." your anxiety may be contributing significantly to the degree of reflux that you suffer. Looks like you are taking appropriate medications for your conditions. Be patient as acid reflux can take some time or different drug.

The whole 9 yards: I am afraid secondary to your anxiety, you're mixing up everything in one pot. Swollen tongue, hypothyroidism, and acid reflux are all separate entities and are not related to your anxiety.
