A member asked:

Will my surgeon remove a non cancerous nodule that's causing me pain on my thyroid? i have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. thanks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: It would be prudent to treat your hypothyroidism first and then have an evaluation for the nodule. It would be advisable to see your primary care provider first for treating your thyroid condition and let him/her ascertain if intervention for the nodule is warranted. Wish you good health!
