Canker sore under my tongue (white center, red border, quite painful). it's been about a week and the initial site is almost gone but now there's a reddish patch to the side of that site. can canker sores do this? is this the start of a new sore?

Could be. Without seeing it and talking to you and knowing if you have have herpes before could I help. Show to someone who knows in Ft Worth.

It could be. Rule of thumb is that if a lesion in your mouth is not completely healed in 2 weeks, see your Dentist.
