Although I tend to advise people and doctors against using the words "always" or "never", I would think that the chances they were "wrong" (although still possible), is likely small. 4mm is on the small side. It is likely they measured the "density" of tissue and it was very "low" density indicative of fat. Angiomyolipoma's usually contain fat. I wish you the best and hope you don't over worry

The choice of ultra sound or CT follow up is sound. Your chances of having cancer are very low and God forbid they are wrong a 4mm lesion is not going to do any damage over one year.
