When they say hepatic echogenicity can be due to fatty liver hepatitis or cirrhosis now mine says this how can i be sure it isnt cirrhosis?

By having a gastroenterologist specializing in liver weigh in or place findings in proper clinical context. All details matter from as early as symptoms started, physical exam, imaging in dynamics, blood work, lifestyle, family history, etc. The doc who ordered the test would be best to further clarify/coordinate as needed.

Dx w/ NA fatty liver in 2014. In last 3 years my ALT has gone from 59 to 18 and AST went from 23 to 19 still within normal limits but ratio is now greater than 1. Recent US showed "echogenic liver". Do I need to worry about fibrosis/cirrhosis?
