Being “around” each other is unavoidable (it’s not like you have much choice). Your 1 year old is at high risk of getting coronavirus infection as well. If otherwise healthy, should be no worse than a simple runny nose or cough. However, should notify your pediatrician if/when this develops just in case it becomes more than “simple”.

Keep well hydrated, drink fluids and rest. Your baby is at risk for the infection. Many infants may exhibit few symptoms, but GI symptoms are more frequent. Watch for poor feeding, fever, cough and please let your pediatrician know. A virtual consult with Healthtap is available.
