I have tested positive for covid and have a 6 week old baby. pediatrician says babies do okay with covid and not to worry. will he likely get covid? he has no symptoms currently and i am on day 5 since exposure and day 3 since symptoms began?

As a guideline, I think day 5 after exposure is pretty key as to whether one develops covid but. I don't have experience with newborns. Stay in touch with the pediatrician if you have any concerns about your baby.

Most likely he will experience no or mild symptoms. Use a mask, good hand washing. After day 5 the transmission is possible but continues to decrease with time. Watch for signs of poor feeding and breathing difficulty.
