Morning. i received a covid app notification of possible exposure on 20 dec to someone who has tested positive. it is 8 days since possible exposure which must have been in a shop. i have no symptoms. how long should i isolate/quarantine ?

Quarantine: 14 days is the recommended quarantine period. Here in the US, if a covid test comes back negative after day 7, the quarantine can be ended early to allow the person to return to work, etc. You might consider taking a test to determine your status.

COVID 19: In the USA, the CDC recommends that "Anyone who has had close contact with someone with COVID-19 should stay home for 14 days after their last ex-posure to that person."
