Why are you worried? Do you have concerning symptoms? Why would you not trust your cardiologist? Trace pericardial effusion may be a transient thing and may resolve by itself. It just means small fluid around the heart and may mean nothing to worry about is why your cardiologist was trying to reassure you. You did not say why Echo was done but mild inflammation may cause easily reabsorb able fluid

Is it normal for an ultrasound technician to ask you why you are there for an Echocardiogram? Shouldn't that info be noted in my record by the cardiologist? I found it odd that the technician asked me this prior to my Echo?
Is it ok that a board certified cardiologist read my echo, but he is not board certified in echocardiography... Results were normal.
