Hcg went from 7600 to 16,000 but only a gestational sac seen, no yolk, at 5w2days? accompanied with spotting and lack of symptoms. is there hope?

The values for HCG are compatible with a "5w2d" gestation, however while a fetal heart beat may not quite be detected at this stage, "spotting" may indicate an early miscarriage. See your OB physician for a repeat ultrasound in about a week, along with a repeat HCG test. If ultrasound is compatible with HCG results , your OB may order oral progesterone for the spotting.
