The values for HCG are compatible with a "5w2d" gestation, however while a fetal heart beat may not quite be detected at this stage, "spotting" may indicate an early miscarriage. See your OB physician for a repeat ultrasound in about a week, along with a repeat HCG test. If ultrasound is compatible with HCG results , your OB may order oral progesterone for the spotting.
