The original Covid virus affected older persons severely. The new delta variant affects young people severely. the vaccine helps to increase your immunity after the initial 90 day immune window after an initial Covid infection. Since you are well past this window, your immunity has most likely decreased significantly and you are at risk for a new infection. Get the vaccine to avoid severe illness.

Am not surprised by your confusion, as the post-COVID-19 data is conflicting and confusing. From my perspective, I would get vaccinated to improve future protection, and some of us here at HT, wonder if one Moderna or Pfizer shot will suffice. Unfortunately, the "experts" nationally cannot provide consistent or reliable advice. Clear is presence of immune protection if infected for 8-12 months.
