A member asked:

I went to the doctors today for a lump on my groin. its very soft, movable and the perfect ball shape. my doctor doesnt think its a lymph node, he thinks its a lipoma. can you get a lipoma on your groin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A lipoma is a collection of fat and connective tissue that is indeed movable and soft and sometimes quite large. A lymph node is more firm and small unless it is in a collection of lymph nodes. You can definitely have a lipoma in the groin and it sounds consistent with a lipoma.
