I have a hard, movable lump on my trapezius muscle at the base of my neck. doctor 1 said lipoma, 2 said lymph node, neither did more than feel it.

Neck lump: A palpable mass under the skin or muscle of the neck or anywhere on the body could represent a myriad of possible lesions. Lipomas (benign fatty tumors) or lymph nodes represent two of these possibilities. Diagnosis with certainty can only be made with excisional biopsy (removing lump).
