Gouty attacks: You need to see a urologist to order a 24 hour urine for uric acid (ua). If your urine has a high ua level in it, you need to be on Allopurinol because you produce too much ua. If it low in your urine, you need to be on colchecine, to excrete more of it in your urine. If your ua level is normal in the urine, uloric may be indicated. If you have so many gouty attacks, you need to be on some meds.
