"ICSI" (intra-cytoplasmic sperm insemination) does not have an "ideal weight", but excessive weight can inhibit the extraction of ova needed on which to perform ICSI (laparoscopy may be difficult in the retrieval process), and if embryo transfer is successful, the ensuing pregnancy may be safer if maternal weight was reduced prior to potential pregnancy.
