Why do i have palinopsia only in a dark room with lights? so im using my phone at night with the lights off then i quickly move my phone i would see blur trailing that would last around one second. i dont notice any form of palinopsia in the morning?

Hi there, I experience visual trailing/palinopsia and mild pain in my eyes. I was prescribed Topiramate for weight loss and as a supplementary mood stabiliser, but was told that there are many side effects that come from using it. Is this normal?
