Difference between palinopsia and physiological after image? i see the strides of light after if i wave my flashlight from my phone in front of my eyes for 30 seconds!?

Visual phenomena: Palinopsia seeing the exact image,color size etc.Physiological after image like after a camera flash gives a negative image usually of shorter duration.Cause of palinopsia is unknown but can be associated with such things as hallucinations, brain lesions,meds like lsd and others. Exam is necessary with palinopsia. Of course not with the psysiological type. Hope this helps.

Hi there, I experience visual trailing/palinopsia and mild pain in my eyes. I was prescribed Topiramate for weight loss and as a supplementary mood stabiliser, but was told that there are many side effects that come from using it. Is this normal?
