How long one can stay on gabapentin for rls?? i am in my 30s, will taking this medicine affects kidney or brain in long run? i am worried, as i have to take this medicine daily for like rest of my life. i am just skeptical and worried about that?

If you have pregnancy plans, gabapentin should be stopped about 4 weeks prior to conception. Otherwise is a medication which can be used for years, with almost no chronic damage outcomes. However, tolerance could result, and this could be changed to a dopamine agonist.

Hello Doctor, I keep getting this random twiching on my left hand skin and index finger of right hand too twiches for 1-2 second and stops. This happens atleast twice-thrice in half and hour usually when i am rest. I do have RLS and take gabapentin?

I suffer from sleep inducement & maintenance issues in night due to which i take 3mg melatonin daily, However i have RLS as well & for which i take gabapentin too but i feel melatonin makes my rls worse,i can't get sleep without melatonin, what 2 do?
