Not to worry: I would not be concerned for parkinson's disease from gabapentin. If it works and you currently are not having any side effects, then, i would not worry much.

Safety: Gabapentin has been around since early 1970s and used for lots of conditions into the very high doses. Typically no causative issues with degenerative problems like parkinsons. With that being said, it does have side effects. With any medications you have weigh benefit vs. Risk. For RLS doses, typically side effects are minimal.
