A member asked:

Had heart ct scan with calcium scoring. they noted a minimal left basilar atelectasis. is this cause for concern? is it common? thank you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not to worry- the key word here is ‘minimal’ - atalectasis means not fully inflated vs partially collapsed - may want to follow this to make sure it reinflates well in the future, but does not represent any pathology unless it continues to change or worsen- suggest you recheck after a month of moderate exercise
