Had a ct calcium score test with a 3009.8 result. left main = 0,, lcx= 351.4,, lad=2004.0,, rca=354.1.... do these results mean a definite heart attack in my future. i'm a 72 yr old male who is very worried. can't see dr for 2 weeks. thank you?

Besides the calcium score, many other risk factors are also important. Calcium score is only for risk stratification, a high score does not mean you will have a heart attack in the near future. Do no worry, please patiently wait for the cardiology appointment in 2 weeks, nothing will happen in the mean time. Take care.

These results would lead me to recommend proceeding to a coronary artery evaluation by either cardiac catheterization or CT scan angiography. I'd leave the decision about a treadmill stress test & the type of coronary artery angiography to the cardiologist who will take your history, examine you and look at your resting EKG. I recommend starting on daily low dose aspirin if you can take it safely
