I do not think that a sedative would really cause trouble with the bladder. Have you had this experience in the past? Speak with the doctor and see what they think.

IF YOU ARE SO CONCERNED THAN REQUEST LIGHT ANESTHESIA FOR THE PROCEDURE. TAKE THE SEDATIVE AN HOUR BEFORE PROCEDURE AND NO WATER UNTIL PROCEDURE IS FINISHED. MAKE SURE YOU GO TO BATHROOM JUST BEDFORE PROCEDURE.
