Will an endoscopist place a stent in the cbd even if a complete removal of the stone is achieved? the ercp report didn't mention anything about stenting and even the endoscopist said my cbd is fully cleared which needs no follow-up. no stent then?

ERCP report: Dilated CBD with stone. CBD stone extracted, CBD cleared. Occlusion Cholangiogram - clear CBD. The doctor has suggested, follow-up isn't needed as the stone is completely removed. Does it mean a CBD stent wasn't required to be placed?
