Central tear of tfcc is in a poorly vascularized area so typically treated with arthroscopic debridement. A positive ulnar variant, meaning the ulna extends beyond the radial articular surface sometimes requires an ulnar shortening procedure that can be done via arthroscopic or as an open procedure depending upon the degree of impingement between ulna and carpal bones.

yes both positive ulnar variance meaning the end of the ulna is slightly longer than the radius can occur together with a TFCC tear. ganglion cysts in the wrist are also common so yes it can occur together although maybe not typical it certainly isn't unheard of.
