A member asked:

Are there any long term complications associated with choledocholithiasis? the patient has recovered from it, the bile flow has fully returned but will he have any complications in the future?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If the underlying cause that resulted in the formation of the stones is still there, the patient could form new stones. There should not be any consequences from the stone that was removed.
