It takes much longer than 4 weeks of biliary obstruction to get secondary biliary cirrhosis, infection of the biliary tree is more of a risk.

Hello! Just a concern, does a single episode of a very short duration of Ascending Cholangitis (due to gallstone in the bile duct) cause secondary biliary cirrhosis?
Is it true that an untreated common bile duct stone will cause secondary biliary cirrhosis after 5 years?
I have been told that in biliary colic the gallstone temporarily blocks the bile duct. I have had 3 to 4 episodes of biliary colic before my GB was removed that had stones. Will those 4 episodes of biliary colic cause liver cirrhosis in the future?
Having a concern: Recently had an ERCP to remove stones from the bile duct and recovered without any complications, however will the ERCP or Choledocholithiasis now put me at a high risk of developing biliary stricture?
