Your symptoms are more characteristic of GERD. Omeprazole dosage may have to be increased. Avoid spicy,oily foods,alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, aspirin& meds like advil or aleve. If you note no improvement, it's time to consult a gastroenterologist for evaluation, appreciate testing & proper treatment.
