Is it possible for some drugs to just not work on some people? such as oral dicofenac sodium. perhaps a condition that causes it to be poorly absorbed. would being on omeprazole for gerd be a factor in that?

Yes, one medication may work well for one but not for other. I have not heard any interaction between Diclofenac and Omeprazole. In fact, some people take Omeprazole because they have gastritis or peptic ulcer due to Diclofenac but they could not get off this med with their joint problem.
