It could happen to anybody at some time due to hormonal imbalance. However, if it recurs in next couple months you need to see a GYN doctor for menorrhagia.

Spotting can happen on any day of your cycle, as long as it’s light bleeding, you’re ok, if not, see an OB Gyne with Endo knowledge
