Angiogram are a procedure that is done to understand the circulation of the heart . Every procedure has risks, but the test is medically needed when the benefits outweigh the risks. You need to have this discussion with your doctor.

Diabetes is an important risk factor for coronary disease. More importantly, coronary disease may be diffuse, affecting more then one artery. I would recommend further studies including angiography if there are symptoms or there is evidence of impaired heart muscle function affecting in other areas of the heart since this might suggest additional disease needing attention. Good luck.
