Why do i have phlegm after i eat certain foods? if its something light like oatmeal its fine but usually after lunch or dinner i have phlegm that i need to clear. also, i dont know if its related, i have to take deep breaths every day?

You're experiencing a type of reflux. It could be acid reflux but it may be the less common laryngopharangeal reflux. This may respond to meds like omeprazole or famotidine but often doesn't. Nevertheless it's worth trying. An ENT specialist could evaluate & advise you. The need to take deep breaths without exertion is often a symptom of anxiety. Stress management therapy may be helpful for this.
