Can an insect bite cause a bruise? its a flesh coloured circle with what looks like a puncture mark surrounded by bruise my pharmacist says no? im now worried its a bruise with no trauma so leukaemia? no other symptoms apart from aching muscles i?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Insect bites can result in a bruise, however, it would more important to rule out tick bite that may transmit Lyme disease. It would be prudent to see a doctor. Wish you good health!
