Maybe not: This could also be some autoimmune disease. I would get her to see a doctor ASAP

M.D. visit: It is important that your friend see her doctor. Your physician may order a complete blood count and some other tests to determine the cause. I would also suggest a TB skin test. I hope that she does well.
