Likely, steroids such as Prednisone, is the culprit if she is taking this med for Crohn and RA. Without steroids but taking other immunosuppressive medications also put her at risk for vaginal candidiasis. Besides personal hygiene and medication (oral or local) she may need prophylactic therapy if she continues to take steroids or other immunosuppressive meds. Diabetes mellitus is also a risk.
