A member asked:

Should i seek an orthodontist if my teeth don't meet from my 2nd premolar to my canine on the right side even though my teeth are "straight"?

YOUR BITE [OCCLUSION] IS OFF ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND POSSIBLY HIGH ON THE LEFT SIDE. AN ORTHODONTIC CONSULTATION IS BEST AND YOUR AGE SHOULD NOT BE A FACTOR. DR. M WILL ANSWER THIS QUESTION SINCE HE IS AN ORTHODONTIST.

You can certainly consult with an orthodontist to have your bite evaluated.

You have a malocclusion, a bad bite. If your teeth were "straight" they would meet properly. Yes, an evaluation by an Orthodontist is appropriate.
