I have an impacted canine. last june my orthodontist sent me to a maxillo to expose the canine and remove both premolars. now the ortho says the impacted canine is stuck. i should remove it and get an implant. i want to save the canine. please help?

Not sure why the canine cannot be moved. Extraction would probably involve bone grafting to rebuild the surgical site. This requires further discussion with your orthodontist

Try subluxation first. It is possible to shift a tooth and stimulate i to be more amenable to orthodntics by looseningit first and then letting it sit for for about three weeks. Low pressure, 6- 7 grams should start it moving again. It is worth a try.
