Medications for children are typically given as liquids because of the inability to swallow pills. The tablets probably contain a higher concentration of the medication appropriate for an adult size body, whereas the liquids typically contain less because of a child's smaller body. If you took the liquid, you would have to take a higher dose. Talk to your Dr and the pharmacy about appropriate dose
