A member asked:

Good evening doctors. should a 63 year-old male with kidney issues (serum creatinine 1.49 now, 1.33 previously) with low vitamin d (26 now, 22 previously) take vitamin d3? one of my doctors told me yes and one told me that there is no reason to do so?

Your Vitamin D levels appear borderline low, and most physicians would recommend supplementing vitamin D3. Typically, would advise seeking a blood level of 50-70 ng/ ml as an optimal range. This could be done through contact with sunshine and/or use of the D3 capsules.
