Follow Dr's advice: Thinning of bones - demineralization or osteopenia/osteoporosis - takes 1-2 years before treatments bring about measurable improvement. If you have a vit d deficiency, then you're on the right path.

It may take longer: I assume that a DEXA scan has been done. It takes a while for bones to respond to treatment. Might be worth checking vitamin d metabolites and testosterone levels too.
