Normal main pulmonary artery measures up-to 29mm in diameter. A true aneurysm is focal dilatation involving all three layers of arterial wall. Pseudoaneurysm does not involve all layers. Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), pyogenic bacteria, viral & fungal infections, vasculitis & others can cause these aneurysm. PAH can be due to heart, lung or blood clotting problems, HIV infections. Helpful?
