Theoretically.: Theoretically, an aneurysm, if large enough, could rupture, especially if ones blood pressure were too high. If one has a large aneurysm, at risk of rupturing, a vascular specialist would likely recommend that it be stented. In addition, it would be important that ones blood pressure be kept under good control, preventing the systolic pressure from rising above 125 mm mercury systolic.
